Week in Review (9/3-9/6)

It's been an exciting week in the Waukesha South High School Choir room! What a privilege to be working with such a talented group of students - I'm looking forward to our musical adventures we'll be experiencing as the year goes on.

This year, there are a number of changes in choral and general music programs. One of the most noticeable changes is that we have an A Cappella Choir which is twice the size of last year's ensemble. This group is currently tipping the scales at 68 member - I'm going to have to make sure we have enough black robes! This is a great problem to have! We also have a freshman ensemble of 35, the treble choir sits at 49 and the men's choir at 22! It should be a fantastic year of music making!

We are still looking for a few more members for Chamber/Jazz Choir. If anyone is interested, please see me as soon as possible. We meet first period!

Additionally, I will be teaching three general music sections - Music in Film (third period), Introduction to Music Theory, and AP Music Theory (both theory sections are offered seventh period). This is the first time in six years that we have offered a full-year of music theory that is not an independent study option - VERY EXCITING!
